Hi, I am looking to have my driveway repoured as it is cracked and part is sticking up, and water puddles up infront of the doors, so it needs to be releveled or a drain installed. My wife got a quote to remove and install for 7900, I thought that was way too much. I am deployed and can't give you measurements, I was hoping to maybe get it done while I was making a little extra money, but here is a pic that was taken just before we bought our house, its our first btw. I am looking to make it full width all the way down instead of how it narrows. Its hard to see the damage in the pic. I'm located in NC near fayetteville. Thanks guys.

In my area, it is 87 to 92 a yard. Three estimates I received came out to about $5.50 per square foot. This was for a house slab with footings so a driveway should be a little less.

$7900 to remove and re-pour seems like a pretty good price.

Just looking at it and guessing dimensions, looks like about 22'wide by maybe 80' long.

1760 sq/ft
580cu/ft
21.5 cu/yards

$2100 concrete, double that for forming and pouring, so $4100, double again for removal and disposal.

$8000 sounds about right with no extras

here labor about $1.50 a sq ft but the breaking and hauling what cost you. if he has a front end loader and truck it be cheap. but $8000 not really bad

not a concrete expert, but how about just fix the section close to the house. Cut out the 1st 15' or so, relevel it and pour a new slab for that section with proper drainage?

The rest of the drive doesn't look bad.

What's up with the roof?

Moisture condensing on the roof.....pic was most likely taken in the morning...notice how the dark areas follow the attic...light areas are exposed to outside air....makes me wonder how good the ventilation and insulation in the attic is.....

As for concrete....turn key...sounds about right....for reference, it cost me $365 for one rock box to haul off the concrete from my patio...8x33....that driveway is going to take more than one rock box....figure at least $1500 or more just for removal of the old driveway.

Fixing the bad section is starting to sound like a good idea to me....

Pine trees are what's up with the roof. Been there, lived that. Lotsa slash and lob lolly pines in Houston, roofs get lots of tar, sap, mold, etc from them. Then when they pollinate they turn the world yellow. Cute, nasty azz trees.

Not sure whats up with the roof, all the houses are like that in my neighborhood, our home inspector didn't say anything about it, neither did the VA. Does it look like its bad? Up close it don't appear as if the gravel is gone from the shingles, it just looks staind.

I suppose I can cut out the bad spot, and then repour. And do the narrowed sections to make it the same width all the way down.

I think everything costs too much. I hate paying people to do stuff I think I can do. My driveway needs to be replaced too. I plan to form it myself and poor it in small batches. You obviously can't do that being away.
