Hey all,
The park pad at my moms house that is about 3 years old has a weird issue with a hole starting from the bottom of the slab and working its way up. Mom has been asking me about the concrete bubbling up and I didnt know what she meant. I came to look at it and it was a 1" or so hole filled with mud. The area around the hole "splintered", think a drill bit coming through a board. Any idea what on earth could cause that? It is just a normal driveway, I assume 4-5 inches thick. My cousin, who is a concrete guy poured the entire driveway. It looks great except for this one hole that has come up since last month.
I suspect it was a weak spot in the concrete that hydraulic pressure has pushed up mud into, but thats a SWAG at best.
I would show you a picture of it, but just imagine a 1 inch hole in your drive filled with mud.
Thoughts?
