As some of you know, I have been rehabbing my parents house to get it ready to sell and due to termite damage and concrete poured incorrectly against the kitchen, we have to tear out the outside patios and sidewalks out. God Bless dad, he did it all wrong but it lasted close to 35-40 years and served it's purpose.
Now, the thing is, the house was built in 1955 and I am guessing had an original patio. I remember dad pouring over a slab once, maybe one time in my life. But I never remembered ALL of this.............
There is patio pavers cemented over concrete which I remember, then there is a slab over a slab, over a slab, over what I believe is the original slab. The tang on the jackhammer on the skidloader was buried as far as it would go and NEVER hit the original slab
As far as I can tell there is almost 12"+ over the original. In the last pic you can see the original slab with lines scored into it, or at least I think it is the original
