Concrete pads for deck footings, slope or no?

Greetings,

I need to pour concrete pads (yellow outline) to support deck posts, against this existing concrete pad, which is sloped. My questions, will the concrete pads need to be sloped for drainage? If so, when I put the Simpson Strong Tie plates on the pads, wouldn't they, too, be sloped? Thus, in turn, the posts would be sloped? How is this avoided/accounted for? Thanks!

The wood should be held off the concrete with your post base, so sloping is not needed. Make it flat and level

That's what I wanted to know, thanks! (Because the post is held off the concrete, there is no need for the pad to be sloped, correct?)
