getting ready for my floor and wanting to know what fall should i get to a drain. the building is 50x60 ish and i will be having two sections of 50x30. one drain in each with a wall seperating the two.

planning on having the outside the whole way around higher and sloping it down to where the drain is. how much higher. would 1/2 fall in 16ft be enough or too much. i am not planning on having lots of water other than washing cars/bikes and cleaning the floor when needed but i dont want puddles of water and having to wait for the water to flow down. plus i dont want have it feel like i am standing on a side of a hill all the time

I think the generally accepted standard is 1/8" to 1/4" per foot for adequate drainage. Minimum 1/8 so your 1/2" over 16 ft wouldn't get you very much pitch for water to move.

I don't know why a drain but I won't go there. 1/2" in 16' won't do it unless the concrete is pool table perfect. Many times the drain is used for cleaning purposes. Usually a floor squeegee is used. If that's the case I'd shoot for a conical slope to the drain. The closer to the drain the more slope. Within reason.
