Concrete repair question

I have a step that sustained a fractured corner. It is on the other side of a handrail and is isolated by a brick column and a large planter. So, it is pretty hard to imagine anyone could get to it to step on it. Ultimate strength is not probably an issue.

You can see it, though. I wondered if anyone knew of a product that may be useful to bond the corner piece back on with? I know a lot of new adhesives are in use in construction and wondered if anyone had personal experience with any.

I've used the crack repair (like mortar), but it doesn't work well in areas that move. if the broken part is in a stable area, you could try it, they sell at HD or Lowes. Build a corner "mold" and mix and pour. It should setup and be nice looking.

if you can find a harware store that sell Sika Corp. concrete products, they have a epoxy concrete patch in a caulk tube , its the best out there. Its called Patch Fix:




High-strength, medium viscosity epoxy resin bonding system. Multi-purpose, 2-component, 100-percent solids, medium viscosity, moisture-tolerant structural epoxy adhesive. Conforms to the current ASTM C-881 and AASHTO M-235 specification. Use to bond fresh, plastic concrete to hardened concrete and steel. Apply prior to cementitious patch repair mortars. Use to grout horizontal cracks in structural concrete by gravity feed. Grout bolts, dowels, pins, etc. into horizontal concrete surfaces. Use as a structural adhesive for concrete, masonry, metal, wood and etc. Fits standard caulk guns. Self-mixing. Cartridge covers approximately 15.3 cu. in of usable epoxy resin.

Thank for the suggestions. I will be trying the Silka product first, as it will be easy to get and to try.

I had a crazy, but probably impractical idea that may be physically impossible....since it is on the corner, I had considered tryint to drill two horizontal holes with a hammer drill and inserting anchors with long bolts and small plates on the external surfaces. And, applying something like the resin mentioned above.
