I'm looking to enhance my garage soon, would like a checkered floor plan, looking at Racedeck and similar options.

There is one area that needs attention first though, a small step-up missing some concrete. Is there anyway to repair it?

i would clean it very well and use a product called cementall to patch it. After it is clean you will need to form the face of with with some kind of lumber or metal, whatever you have laying around. After clean treat the area with an acrylic bonding agent, once the bonding agent has dried to the touch you can start the patch. Cementall is a very durable very strong material that also makes its strength very fast. When you mix it, mix it on the wet side as it sets up quickly.
