Bought our house last spring and have been doing a lot of work. Driveway wand garage were new in 1994, but I don't think they EVER did anything to take care of either.

Driveway has some light spalling all over and doesn't appear to have ever been sealed. Overall the concrete is in great shape, i just want to keep it that way.

What kind of sealer can I use to help protect and prevent/slow down further damage? When I say light, I do mean light spalling.

As I get more done to the garage this summer I'll be sure to put up a thread about it!

Had the same problem on my garage floor. Floor was about 25 years old with light spalling. Wanted something to protect it. Went with vseal 101. Don't do it!!! Find something else, anything else! Went on easy enough, but after about a week water was soaking into the slab. It was like i used nothing at all. I called vseal and they basically told me to pound sand. I'm going to see how it preforms this winter, and then maybe try something from sherwin williams.

I used V-Seal 102 on my drive way 3 years ago with great success. It does just as promised, and I have had no problems. It does not block stains from leaves, but I knew this type of sealer would do that, I was more concerned with stopping any spalling.
