40 x 60 x 16 shop.

The guy who did my flatwork said he would seal the concrete as well, as he has done. The finished product was not hat I was expecting, so before filling the place up I figured I would ask some questions.

The sealer applied was Thompson Water Seal.

I was reading this thread and now wonder if I should go with the HD6600, and if so, should I re-prep?

This is the look I am going for and I want to be able to easily wipe up spills, oil as best it can be. (picture below from that linked thread)

Thompsons is made of denatured alchohol and parafin wax. The wax will create a barrier to proper bonding. It must be removed prior to coating.

Contact Thompson's for a remedy.

scotty is right. Thompsons water seal is the 'kiss of death' as far as every coating over it. Solvents etc. just sort of push and move the wax around.

Best fix is learn to live with it or tile over it. - I've even used the super cheap vinyl self stick tiles in garage and workspaces with recent results consider the low cost.
