So I decided to seal my concrete floor in my garage. I went to sherwin williams to buy this product:

http://www.sherwin-williams.com/do_...ts/products/concretedriveway-sealer/index.jsp

So the guy said I need to acid etch the floor first because it was smooth so I bought H&C etching solution.

I etched the floor like the directions show rubbing it in with my broom, then I rinsed it off completely which took forever!

So when I was done I noticed that it showed my footprints from where I walked during the etching process as well as the brush marks. I figured no big deal it will cover up when I put on the sealer.

So I applied 1 coat to the surface, waited 24 hours for it to dry, then applied another coat. Its been 24 hours since the second coat and it is definately waterproof now because water beads up on the floor like crazy.

Problem is the floor still looks like it was just freshly acid etched, so it looks like absolute ****. All my footprints are still there as well as the brush marks and everything.

I went to home depot and bought some sealant that said it would give a high gloss shine because when there is sealant on the floor it darkens up and looks fine, but the stuff from home depot is water based so it won't go on the floor it just beads up.

I need a non water based solution to go over this sealant that will hide all the imperfections. Can anyone tell me what to do? I'm such a newb!

In order for anything to penetrate it you would need to lightly sand the surface. Get your product tinted and your inconsistencies will be less prominent
