Concrete Sealing Powder Help

Going to tap into the wealth of experience here and ask if anyone can identify some concrete sealing powder i need to either use or dispose of.

About 20 years ago my inlaws purchased and used this off white powder and mixed it with a liquid which they don't recall and put it on some exposed aggregate concrete for a wet look... Good stuff because it's still there.

There's still about 20gal of this powder but they don't know what it's called or what it mixes with. I can't even dispose of it since i don't know what it is although they were told they could sprinkle the unused portion on the lawn as it was 100% non toxic.

I've exhausted Google looking for something similar (but learned all about concrete sealing methods and chemistry and I think answered some surveys) but I haven't found a similar product. I'm hoping someone here remembers this type of sealer. If it's safe, I'll use it on some landscape rocks otherwise dispose of it once I know what it is.

Is it a very fine white, lightweight powder that feels a little bit abrasive?

If so, it's just a traction additive made for concrete sealers to make them less slippery. H&C makes a product called "Shark Grip", WR Meadows calls their's "Sure-step", and pretty much every sealer manufacturer has their name on one.......

This is something that was dissolved into another product and spread over the concrete to give it a permanent wet look. It is fairly lightweight, maybe 50% what sand would weigh and not abrasive or noticeably crystaline light sugar or salt. Grains are about 1/2 the size of a sugar grain.

I still think it's a traction additive, based on your description. I can't think of anything that would supplement sealer to make it more glossy, that's done inthe chemistry the liquid sealer itself. THe only thing I've come accross remotely close is "flattening paste", which isn't dry, and actually creates a lower gloss look. Pretty sure your parents used a relatively high solids solvent-based sealer along with this traction additive to keep it safer. As to why they ever needed 20 gallons of it is beyond me, I'm a professional and that would likely last my entire career.......
