concrete slab question

I'll looking at a real estate ad for a home in Ft Myers Fl.
It states the following:
"10-12 slab with 16 steel tiebeams"
Can anyone tell me what this means?

10 to 12 inch thick slab with 16 steel tie beams.
In other words, built like the proverbial tank.

I cannot imagine a slab for a home in Florida being 10-12" thick. The footing perhaps, but not the entire slab.
