I am going to be pouring the slab for my 24X25 garage in a few days and I am alittle confused by the the cross-section my building code dept gave me.
I have placed concrete before as I worked for a construction company in the past but since i was just a peon i do not know the terminology. If anyone can explain to me what I highlighted in the pic that would be much appreciated.

MY GUESS:
6x6 10/10 w.w.m : is some certian kind of wire mesh???

(2) #4 rods continuous lap 14" and tie : is rebar and it needs be one piece all the way around the perimeter?????

You are pretty well on the money. 6x6 10/10 WWM is a welded wire mesh that has squares 6" x 6" and the 10 is the guage of the wire.

The rebar is not one piece. It's many pieces overlapped at the ends and tied together with tie wire effectively making it continuous.

And I usually see the wire mesh called out as 661010 WWM (6 inch by 6 inch squares of 10 gauge in both directions Welded Wire Mesh). The hardware store sells it in 3 by 6 foot foot sheets or 50 foot rolls. Either may be used and edges tied together with baling wire.

(2) #4 is Quantity two rebars 1/2 inch diameter (#4 is 4 eights of on inch dia). It comes in 20 foot "sticks" and can be overlapped 14 inches and tied with the same baling wire. Bend it 90 degrees to go around the corners.

Both the WWM and rebar should be held off the ground with broken pieces of cinder block or little cubes of concrete with wire sticking out of one end (to be tied to the rebar) called dobbies.
