Good morning all, I am soon to pour basement walls, and before backfill will rubber seal it, I have heard mixed reviews on Blue Max, and similar brands, anyone have good reviews or good products to point me in the direction of, thanks.
DO spend the money on a dimple drain board applied over the sealer. This should run down to the bottom of the foundation. Lay your drain pipe/weeping system at that level and cover with at least 3-4' of gravel. If possible, back fill to withing about 1' of grade with gravel.
I would not want you to build a new basement and not have it turn out the way you wanted it. If you do plan on finishing it you are probably correct in looking at exterior waterproofing especially if you cannot drain a perimeter footing drain to daylight.
