concrete water base staining

we are going to use a hc product and stain our concrete slab floor that has infloor radiente heat....we chose to do this because we thought it was nice looking and if we do ourselves could save lots of money in flooring....we ordered cocoa bean color and should be in later this week....we will hopefully get started next weekend...I will post some pics as we go...the cement is 5- 6 weeks cured now so only prep is to use the etch product rec. by company..we chose the hc water base as looks easy to apply and didnt want caustic chemicals like the acid wash would be love the acid wash floors but just a little afraid to try this on our own...this will all be interior and will seal w wet look sealer with shark grip...if anyone has tried this and has some tips let me know...thanks

You mentioned that you will have to etch prior to staining.
Using a concrete acid stain reduces your steps by one.

It etches and stains in one step.

Acid stains also stain deeper/darker than water based products.

Naturally, you are committed at this point, just wanted to advise those reading that there is another option.

Another option is acetone based dye, if you are not thrilled with the acid.

What is the "hc product" you refer to? Where can I get more info? I'm thinking staining might be the way to go with my new garage but am just starting to gather information. Is the "wet look sealer with shark grip" products by the same company?

Who markets the concrete acid stain and acetone based dye and where can I get more information? I'm fairly new to the forum and might have missed previous explanations.

I ordered the water base stain from sherwin williams and the wet look sealer also...lowes has it also but faster thru sherwin williams and more helpful there ..we weill be trying it next week Ill have to let you know what we think

We market the product. The base comes from a pigment mine in Oklahoma. We put it together with the acid. It is a remarkable product. We do have a sample kit if you want to play with it prior to a full commitment
