Conduit for Sprinkler Control Wiring

Current Situation:

When the house was originally built 20 years ago I installed the sprinkler system to encompass the acre of land we own. About 10 years ago, my neighbor and I petitioned the city to abandon a platted street that was between our properties. Once approved, I acquired an additional 1/3 acre of land.

At the time, I installed an addition to the sprinkler system by tapping into the main supply water line and running another box with 5 valves to supply the new addition. At the time, there was not an easy way to tie the new addition back into the original control box so I opted to install a second control box in my detached garage.

The current system requires 2 control boxes, 2 rain sensors, and you have to make sure that you never overlap run times. Both boxes have failed and were replaced and both rain sensors are no longer functioning.

I think it is time to tie both systems back together and install a new wifi enabled control box to make running this system a little easier.

I calculated I need to run a 10 wire stranded cable approximately 285 feet to connect the 5 valve remote box to the main control location.

My question:

I would like to pull in PVC conduit with a vibraplow so that if the wire ever needs replacing I can just pull a new line through the conduit. Can I pull in ¾” PVC rigid conduit and make large sweeping bends where needed or do I need to pull in flexible PVC conduit?

Would like your thoughts and suggestions, especially if I am missing something. I plan to start this project mid-month (August) to be ready to over seed any disturbed areas this fall.

Thanks,

My plan was to pull in the PVC conduit using a vibraplow. I'll have to a pull of about 200 feet, then water jet my way under a 40 foot wide driveway and then a short 40 foot pull up to first valve box on the system.

In order to use sweeps I think I would need to have an open trench, unless I am missing something here.
