Conduit Size

Installing 2-2-2-4 SER cable between house and detached garage. I assuming the SER is not direct bury, so what is the minumum NEC size allows using gray PVC conduit for this cable. I will have a LB at the house and garage.

SER is not allowed underground/in conduit. You need mobile home feeder. 1 1/2" conduit would work but 2" would be much easier to pull through.

Hopefully you are just using the wrong term. If the cable you have is SER it should look like the picture below. If it is SER, it cannot be used below ground in conduit.

This can be used underground in conduit.
