Conduit Support

Last question before final electrical.... One area of code that I'm not sure about. I'm assuming that I need a support for the conduit before enters the ground.

It does have a support on the inside just to the other side of the LB box. The foundation will be back filled to about 10" below the siding.

Suggestions on a good looking method to add a support?

Thanks,

Kevin

Short piece of galvanized 7/8" unistrut and a pair of strut straps. Back it up with fender washers if the depth isn't right.

They also make unistrut in 1-5/8" depth if that would work better... I would definitely support it to help prevent movement from compromising your weather seal.

This ^^^^ Need to be aware that the weight of damp soil will always be pulling downward on the conduit and it is a PVC system. .

What they all said....

On a side note.....that pic makes me SO glad that I put conduit in my foundation when I poured my slab. Conduit comes up out of the stem wall and straight to my sub-panel....no external conduit....

Mostly, I just want to make sure there is not some code that I missed that the inspector can ding me for.

My inspector recently requested that due to clay soil conditions we have to put a expansion fitting before it goes in the ground and strap it just above that. If I remember right code say's conduit must be supported within 18" of that LB fitting. Easier to do now before inspection regardless.
