Connecting 12v motor to hydraulic pump

I have a project I would like to build. I have a pulling tractor and I would like to build my own water injection pump. I have a 12v electric motor that would work perfect. I can find a hydraulic for $100 to $200. I can have a cheap setup and the satisfaction of building it myself.

The problem I'm running into is connecting the two together. I can't find the adapter plate/bell housing for the electric motor. The two long bolts that connect the motor to the mounting plate is 3.5625". The OD of the motor is 4.5".

I do have a lathe and mill with DRO so I could make my own as a last resort but I thought finding a bell housing would be easy. I might have been wrong about that. Here's two pictures to help describe what I want to do better. I need to connect these two things.

Have you found the proper splined coupling?

Have you found a mount for the pump that could be modified?

Having the mill I would make a flat plate that would mount to the motor. Then a U shaped mount for the pump that would then mount to the flat plate by bolting or welding. This doesn't have to be a fancy one piece bellhousing that is turned from a single piece of metal.

I have found a coupler on Ebay that will fit. That part is common to find. I'm having trouble finding a 4.5" plate with bolt hole 3.5625" inches apart.

Northern tool might have a pump adapter you can modify. At least you wouldn’t have to start from scratch.

Never mind. I just looked and most of the are $50-100. You could start from scratch cheaper.
