Our garage is a detached one. We built the garage ten years ago. During the construction of the garage, the builder only put in a single 15 amp circuit for the lights, garage door opener, and one receptacle to plug in some electrical equipment. Our garage still has an old fuse panel. It has been ten years older already. I think the garage needs a service panel upgrade. It can't support the modern electrical devices. We thought of installing a circuit breaker. Also, the wiring system at the garage is old and does not meet the code. I am afraid that it might lead to overloading and cause any fire. I was planning to install a circuit breaker with the help of any electrical repair in Toronto. I was planning to add a sub panel to the garage for additional outlets, lighting, and other equipment. Is it okay to connect a home electrical wiring from a house panel to garage panel?

Codes vary by location, and you will want to check with a licensed electrician and local building permit office inspector. I just finished a detached 70’x42’x20’ garage and we pulled a 100 amp sub panel off of a main house panel. I then pulled an additional sub off of those new panel for future expansion and possible office/bathroom/air conditioning units.
We had to trench down 30” for main run to garage and 18” under our new driveway.
Our local building inspection department was helpful with supplying load calculation sheets to determine your current configuration and then planning for future expansion. You will have to bring everything in the vicinity of the inspector up to code, that may be an issue with an older home. We had to run som new grounding rods for our current home built in 2005, as our local codes had changed.

Generally speaking, Yes you can run a feeder off of the house to power the garage.
Theres plenty of info on this forum of how to do it...
