The extra offset on the mountain style wrenches is key in my opinion.

i bought their extra long 9x11mm flex wrench to fill in my ez-red set and its been barely used but good quality. i recently bought the tekton standard length metric double flex head ratchet set and im a huge fan of those. they feel great in hand and enjoy using them. i bought them b/c i didnt need the open end of a full set and they help cut down on wasted tool box storage.

I have the metric set. Like any flexible joint ratcheting wrench, don't get into the practice of braking things loose with them. Had the largest one seize up on me a while back doing this, got a new one under warranty.

Torx or Allen adjustment for tightness of the flex is a key feature - I don't see that in the Mountain version

Here’s some pics. Got em. The heads were t15,t10,t9 and t8. I tightened them with mixed results . Some got tighter some stayed the same . Some were loose. Wish the heads were tighter. Maybe a ratchet or t handle instead of standard torx screwdriver

I'm not agreeing that the GW serp belt tool is a better option but GW did finally make a flex wrench for the serp belt kit. It is available by its self for ppl who already own the original kit

That locking flexible head one has been available for many years already. The tool is not much thicker than the mountain wrenches. Also the tool can disconnect and avoid any obstacle in the way. It is not a wrench, but it works like one and better than most wrenches in most scenarios.

Tried it out removing a 14mm bolt holding blade on my ariens pro mower with Honda GVX160 motor . Blade was torqued at 50 pound feet . Flex held its position . Good tool

Used them on my Dakota R/T that my daughter totaled . Bumper rolled over top fasteners . Removing condenser radiator and bumper to make removing engine transmission easier . Anyway head a little floppy but once engaged on fastener it stayed on fastener . Had to cut hole with sawzall.
