What happens if you close the drawer by pushing on the handle and not the drawer?

It closes from every grip latch box I've played with. It's no different than closing any other box.

It's really not a bad system. I'll I've ever had was old tool chests with no such features, and IMO the griplatch is a nice setup.

Of course any ball bearing box is nice compared to the old chests I've used/been using lol

It will close smoothly no matter where you push, even on the handle.

"Is Waterloo Magnum the same box as Craftsman Professional? "

Yes the Magnum is the same as Craftsman Professional, I think the lock is the only difference.

The craftsman pro griplatch is also bigger and easier to use than the regular griplatch. It takes much less "effort" if you can call it that to open the drawer (more leverage on the mechanism). I like the system a lot from what I can tell in the store. Someday I will prob buy the 36" combo when it goes on sale for $2k.

One strange thing is that some drawers, when pulled open all the way, seem to pivot sideways like the end of one slide is bottomed out but the other side can keep going. It might be kindof annoying.

When you encounter that situation, pull the drawer all the way out until the slides reach their fully extended stops; that equalizes the slides.
