All,
I’m working to install an older Magnum 9K symmetrical two post lift manufactured by Bendpak. It’s a PR-9CX model made in 1996. My main question centers around the placement on the floor in my shop. The space I have on the floor is 19.5’ x 19.5’. The ceiling is sloped, but the minimum obstructions are my lights at 12.2’ on the A frames. The lift post are 12’ high. Should the post be shifted toward one side to allow for the bed of a truck on the lift or just centered in the space? The manual suggest 14’ from center of post to wall both ways. Probably my longest vehicle will be an extended cab 2003 F150 4x4. I’d like to put my crew cab 2003 F250 4x4 on it but that may be beyond its capacity. Thanks in advance for any input.
