Was thinking of adding up on garage can anyone tell me if putting 2 20 fts side by side is worth the hassle or stick with wood any advice is helpful oh n I'm in Alameda county thank you

Don’t know what adding up on means or where Alameda county is but sounds like you want to put to 20’ containers side by side. Good idea out some I have seen put them 15-20’ apart and build a roof over the center gap for more storage.

Sounds like you are in alameda , ca so you are near san fran, sea cans should be easy to come by. you should check with your county regarding permits. stick built will need them but there may be a loop hole since the sea cans are not permanent structures, if you have close neighbors they may not like seeing them and could cause you grief. there are a ton of videos on youtube turning them into everything from shops to houses.

I have two 40' sea containers already. I might swap one of my 40's with my sister's 20' at some point. I've considered building a roof across two of them for open parking under the roof for my tractor, the chickens, etc.
