I'm considering putting down tile to cover my concrete garage floor. I'm concerned about how much dirt, salt, water, oil, etc. can get under the different styles of tile. I'm planning on sealing my floor prior to installing the tiles, but have heard that items getting through the seams of the tiles can lead to odor. I'd also like to avoid taking my floor apart often. My garage floor wasn't pitched correctly and is flat, so easy draining will not happen; I'd have to rely on evaporation for standing water. I'm considering both solid and free-flow tile tops. I live in the north-east, so I have winter snow and salt to consider. Any suggestions from those dealing with the same would be greatly appreciated.
