I found a set of snap on wrenches on ebay (7-22mm) for $250. Is this a reasonable price. I wtake it that it is but can I find better deals. Right now I use harbor freight wrenches and husky sockets and stuff like that. They work well; I have done like 3 engine replacements and a frame off resto with them and they have had a few hickups and I think im ready to upgrade. I need to have full polish chrome. Is this the right brand to buy or should I consider others. I only need metric as that is all that I ever deal with. Any input is appreciated.

EDIT: I misread the listing. Thought it was through 22.

That's still not a terrible price, but you can find better by about 50-75 dollars if you're patient. If I were in your shoes and had the cash at hand, I'd be looking hard at the classifieds here. 10-19 sets pop up often for under 200, and you could add the smaller wrenches in that set from Snap-On new for under 250. HF wrenches will do the job, and it's silly to think that something as simple as a wrench could be that much better, but I assure you they are. Wrenches, along with ratchets, are Snap-On's forte.

That is only for 5.5-19 mm, read the description. I don't know how to identify snap-on wrenches without a part number but if I was buying them I would get the flank drive plus versions.

I don't like the flank drive plus for normal use. They fit too tight and are hard to work with as they tend to "stick" to the nut or bolt.

I would say $150-160 would be a good price.Seller most likely bought them off the truck and paid list price and trying to recoup some of it.

He has a reserve... so bid $150 and if you dont get it keep looking. He might also lower the reserve price closer to auctions end if it stalls out.

The seller made an error in the description and admitted to it. The set is 5.5mm to 19mm. Not 7mm to 22mm.

The OEX710B set 10mm - 19mm is $310 new.

You're looking for 50 cents on the dollar is what you want.

I don't see the value at $250 especially with them having surface rust that inevitably means pits in the chrome. That set is worth about $125 - $150.

Ok. THanks for the advice. I'll keep looking. I wasn't really sure of their value because I never deal with those kind of tools, only cheap ****. As much as I like my cheap ****, im ready to upgrade. Thanks for all the inputs guys.
