Continuing to expand my metric collection to larger sizes. Looking at some bigger 1/2" drive metric sockets now. My current set (craftsman) goes up to 24mm. does anyone make a socket set that goes up from there so I don't have to buy a bunch to duplicates if I go with a set?

My craftsman sockets have served me well so I don't have a problem sticking with craftsman but I'm also looking at other brands as well. Don't really feel like paying tool truck prices for sockets I won't use that often but want to have around. The craftsman large size socket set I got for SAE sizes left out several sizes that I've ended up needing. so I want to find something pretty well complete in a metric set

if your just a diy-er, dont worry about it till you need to do something this car axles, then buy as needed. personally, i have 27mm, 30mm, 32mm, 36mm, basicly only used for axels or land rovers stupid 27mm lugs.

Craftsman makes a standard depth 12-point set though it skips some sizes. Has 27mm, 28mm, 29mm, 30mm, 32mm, 36mm.

Lots of other options for singles or complete sets. I have the Grey Pneumatic 82629M and 82629MD sets but they wouldn't work for you if you're trying to avoid duplication.

I have all of those. For the usual cars out there on the road those are all you will need.

There was a thread recently about axle nut socket kits that had about 4 sizes in most of the kits.

Back when Beta was cheap on Amazon, I bought a set of 1/2" sockets from them that goes from 23-32, I think.

Betas are pretty nice, but I don't prefer all shiny chrome and they can't count.

a lot of the companies have a 7 piece axle nut socket set for reasonable money Sunex, Astro Pneumatic, etc. it's a great start to go up higher with more common sizes

I'm a farmer and tend to run into larger sizes that aren't so common to the automotive world. I've bought several pieces of nwere equipment in the last 5 years that are all metric so I need something for my portable box that I keep in my truck for field service.

When I need something, I'm usually miles away from my main toolbox at the shop where I have a lot more complete set of tools and I need it now to get a piece of equipment up and running again.

Some of the Axle socket sets are probably the best place to start and I'll have to fill in the gaps with individual sockets.
