Control joints and "rubber" tile...

My 23' x 23' shop (interior footprint) is divided into four sections by control joints (troweled during pour). I have access to some commercial type "coin" rubber (PVC?) tile that I'm thinking of installing. My neighbor installe the same product (glue down) and it looks great... but his floor didn't have the joints like mine. This stuff is 1.5' x 1.5' and for a buck apiece a good option.

My question: what should I do about the joints? Fill and tile over and what type of products? Or tile to edge of each joint (or out from) and use some epoxy paint to "trim" the joints? The joints are about an inch wide and deep.

Floor was poured back in March...

[Garage Flooring]

Most often garage floor tiles are installed directly over the control joints. A good quality concrete expansion joint filler such as those made by Chem link work well and avoid any telegraphing.

As long as the seams of the tiles don't end up on the joints, I think you will be fine.

Fill the joints with a poly-ureathane caulking, allow to cure, and install your tile system. With a flexible tile, this should work fine. I would center the tile over the joints so that if the joints moves , it will not crack the tile. You could put more caulking in the space to alleviate the open joint.
