Control joints

After they poured my slab they came back and cut some control joints with a diamond saw. I noticed places that have some black stuff filling the joints. What would you recommend?.

What is the black stuff? Dust, hard material, or? Try to vacuum it out, or dig into the cut with a screw driver to see what it is.

If they used a wet diamind saw, the black stuff is dark grey slurry. Let everything cure, then dig it out and seal joint.

One could use grey polyurethane caulk. Machine skates tend to chip the edges of a saw cut, I had a thought that non-shrinking precision grout (aka for grouting machine bases) would be the best (most robust) filler since its more or less a concrete material, although it would take some work with a knife blade to fill the crack thoroughly. But then I think there should be full support for the outside corners.
