Sorry for this strange question, I always loved this site for setting up my garage and all the great tool talk, but have an odd one for you guys......
Is it possible to get an accessory to control a hardwired outdoor light on and off with a garage door remote?
I have older parents that have an outdoor light thats mounted at an odd angle in the drive way and the motion based detector light never works correctly, and they have had tried several. I can't get the angle to work so the light stays on when you walk in.
They have no garage, but do have a garage door opener compartment in their car, It occurred to me that if I could put a remote in the car, they could push the button and the light would come on. If it shut off after a few minutes perfect, if not I might be able to figure something out. But turning it on as they drive in is the main thing.
Anyone ever see anything like this?
