controler for winch help

does anybody have a diagram to make a winch controller???? I have a old winch and lost the controls somewhere and don't want to buy a new winch right now no more then I use it...I wired it up but cant get it to rev the cable out in is no problem... I have to use the handle to let the cable out .. it has 2 different ports to hook up 1 is for the hot and ground which I got that 1 done but the other is for the in/out control.. thanks

cant remember the new its a cheap 1 but works pretty good.. I have a new smitty built 1 for my other trailer but just waiting to get a tool box mounted on that 1 to keep it out the weather

looks like something is missing in your switch.
it should have three wires one for power, that would have a jumper to another
set of contact tips like the one in the picture. the other two for in and out control.

have you google this you may fine the diagram for it.


good luck. I rewired a hoist with travel drive yesterday the operator got the
control cable hung up and pulled the cable out of the hoist.
