While this link is controlling green house humidity, the explanation, problems and solutions are similar.

https://extension.umass.edu/floriculture/fact-sheets/reducing-humidity-greenhouse

Moving air or circulation can resolve the humidity problem if it's not extreme. If I have water on the floor from melting vehicles.....I run a fan to circulate the air and keep the temp when not working between 40-50* F.
This last week temps at night are -20* and below 0 highes. Thawed a trailer and left enough water on the floor enough to puddle and push Gallons around and out the door. Ran the the fan over night water and condensation are gone.

I do have forced air heat which helps dry the air as well.
I do not exchange the air in the shop other than normal leakage.
I do have an air to air heat exchanger in the house to control humidty and add fresh air.

What about the controller for humidity though, doesn't the bigger buck unit cycle, or is it on all the time?

Thanks for your input

I'm not sure a humidistat is needed. If so and you are ok with the noisier fan a cheap bath fan + Humidistat is still less than half the price. You could go even cheaper with a bath fan and a timer.

I'm not saying it is a bad product. It is reasonably priced for what it is. There are, however, cheaper alternatives that do the same thing.
