Conversion for LED

I was given a LED unit with four strips that is a 12 volt unit. However I would like to find a way to plug them into a standard receptacle. These strips have a cigarette 12v plug that feeds into a infrared receiver for a remote control. Any ideas on a converter?

Just any 120V to 12V-14.4V DC power supply should work for you.... just size the amp properly, but those units should have a regulating circuit.

Any 12V DC power supply will work. I'm guessing the LEDs draw somewhere between 500ma and 1000ma. You can buy 12V power supplies with cigarette plug outlets on them, that way you don't have to splice any wires.

China ships a boatload of those switching power supplies. Newegg, Amazon, Ebay, or Alibaba take your pick. Efficiency and regulation is pretty good. Read your nameplates and specs.
