Convert a chandelier with pole to a chain

We have a light that is currently on a pole and want to remove the pole and use a chain. I know I can run the wires through the chain, but then you can still see the exposed wires. Is there a way to rewire it using something else, like a lamp wire that is covered in plastic? I know if we were to buy a light with a chain, it would be covered in a plastic sleeve of some sort.

Is this possible or should we just buy a light that's made for a chain?

They used to sell "swag" kits at HD. Same idea, just very long. It included new "decorative" wire.

Check lighting store also. It they don't have the kit, they will have the individual pieces.

HD also sells a pre cut length of lamp cord, maybe 20' or so, it was around $3.00

If you cant find any, how much do you need? I am sure I have some and I can send it to you, just might be a few days before I get over there to it.

ah, perfect!!! Is it fairly simple to rewire? Right now there is currently a white/black/ground that was inside the pole that I removed.

If using zipcord the conductor with the rib(s) is neutral.

You are going to need an eyelet to screw onto your threaded piece that your rod was screwed onto. HD has some lamp/fixture parts, if not, you might have to find a lighting fixture store or look online. The fixture cable I have is yellow-ish. I would be more than happy to send you 5' or so if you need it.
See the tube the wires run into toward the lamps, I bet that unscrews and comes apart and then you will have access to the joints leading to all three lamp sockets, just slide your new fixture rated wire into that tube and make joints to the sockets.
