Does anybody know the proper way to convert a bottle jack to air over hydraulic? I saw a video one time of how to do it but NOW I just can't find it! We use this bender to build some racecar parts and are trying to make it a little more user friendly. We removed the bottle jack and installed a body man's type port-o-power cylinder that works great but just doesn't have enough stroke. Our search for a tad longer stroke cylinder (without spending mega-dollars) has came up empty. I hate to screw up a good jack by experimenting so I need some instruction on how to do it right the first time. I know harbour Freight makes a jack for this application but it's just too big. Thank you in advance for any and all help...........zeeker

I havent done this, but I believe you need to tap into the high pressure zone by drilling through the side and top of the cast piece. The outer jacket of the body is just a fluid reservoir. Try googling "tap bottle jack for pressure gauge" and that should get you some results.

Ayuh,... Ya need an air cylinder to drive the pump on the jack,....
probably easier to find another hyd. cylinder for what ya got,...

I think the smaller harbor frigth air/ hyd jack is 12 ton,...
If it'll fit in yer bender, that's yer best/ cheapest option,.....
