Convert Snap On TM70 Rat to Bit Driver

Does anyone know if the RKRTM936 repair kit for the TM936 bit ratchet be used to convert a TM70 to a bit driver? I have a spare TM70 and would like to convert it if possible.

It doesn't appear the TM70 series ratchets were ever offered as bit drivers.

The 936 repair kits will only fit in 936 series ratchets.

I can't see any difference in the frames of the 831 and 936 I have

Pop the cover plates off and the differences become apparent real quick.

You're right once I look closer. The cover plates are slightly different shape and size. The 936 is longer plate.

There's also differences in the counterbores for the gear and the pawl.

You need kit RKRTMM830 to convert the TM70 1/4 drive ratchet to a bit ratchet. I just received the the kit this evening and found that the 30 tooth bit driver gear is a drop in for the TM70.
