This wrench was in box of stuff that I bought at an auction. Only markings on it is Cooke-Wilson. I measured it and it is 3/4" 8-Point.My google skills are failing me as I can find nothing on it. I would appreciate any information anyone may have on it.

You got me stumped, first thing that came to my mind was the old vintage Ford 8-pt.wrenches like the following:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Her...958?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2354e0e7fe

Then you said 3/4 inch and that one got me more stumped.:dunno:

Then I thought of the old Ford tools made by the Moore Drop Forging company but your wrench has no markings whatsoever and that one has me stumped also.:dunno:

The mystery goes on as they say...

Thanks for the information. That makes sense as this area used to have a lot of mines and we are not that far from Pittsburgh. As heavy as it is, it would be a great wrench for any 3/4" square plugs.

twertsy good job, I tried looking up the name with no luck so you might be on to something with that company.

If indeed it is that company it would be a good find for an AA web-site but I have been told the web-site has been down (not updated) for some time. I sure hope it never leaves the web it would be a shame to have that happen.

As a final thought last night I thought maybe some kind of old farm type wrench but wrenching news was a no go.

Good find!

Wonder if it could be a tool post wrench for a lathe? A lot of early lathes had four point bolts on the tool post.
