I found this at a pawn shop today. All pieces are new and made in USA. Anybody have an idea of its value?

I don’t know, but if those are mid length sockets they might make it desirable. Along with the stubby ratchet and spinner. That’s a bit of a lesser seen cased set IMO. Nice find.

they are the mid length. i gave them full asking price of $30. i mostly wanted the ratchet.
i finally see what people mean by stinky screwdriver handles.they smell like puke.

I put a KD USA (same as craftsman) socket for comparison.

 i had this sealed plastic box full of all used Craftsman screwdrivers that I was selling at the market. I opened the box after a couple years and it was like a stink slap to the face.

Good deal you got there.

I purchased that exact set for my truck in 1996, that is still my favorite ratchet and the mid length sockets always seem to be the ideal length for trail repairs. I think I have $80 for it new back then. I agree that the ratchet alone is worth the $30 asking price.

I've had that exact same ratchet for decades. It was the first stubby rat I ever bought and since then I've added several more. But by far the original is my absolute favorite. That's a cool set you got, definitely you more then got your monies worth. Congrats

I'm a fan of that ratchet as well. Found one awhile ago when I responded to a Craigslist ad for some Stanley Fat Max tape measures. When I got there the guy was selling some other tools. Picked up a nice Craftman socket set with the low profile full-polish ratchet ($10 for the set, if I remember) and he also had one of those 44834 stubby flex ratchets for $5. Couldn't hardly get the money out fast enough!

Good choice! That's a pretty useful little set when you stop and really look at it. Nice assortment of SAE and Metric sockets in 3/8" and 1/4" drives. Would be really handy for lots of around the house/garage tasks.

Craftsman semi-deep sockets (aka mid-length) are a nice find. They don't make them any more so if one was to break there's no China-made equivalent to warranty (they should have to give you a short and a deep :) ).

BTW someone has what looks to me that same set on ebay right now ("Craftsman USA 53pc Combination semi deep Sockets, Stubby Ratchet Set & Case RARE"), minus the screwdrivers or the hex wrenches, asking $250 for it. lol. I'm just sayin' :D

Good buy at what you paid, you could probably resell for $50. Above that would start being a slow sell, but you could maybe get more with some patience.

There’s a seller on eBay selling that exact ratchet in the Napa branding for about 22 dollars. There are 4 left if anyone wants one.
