Nothing new. I will take 2 ramps and 4 posts any day. As said already, keep that contraption for the display on the car lot.

If anyone has ever loaded a piece of heavy equipment on a trailer you know that it is a bit nerve wracking. I would not want to use that as a car lift.

We used to use those in a dealership to display GMC and Izusu trucks. The first time you drive up on one is a bit of a thrill but after a few times it's no big deal. I don't know if they are all the same or not but the ones we had were really sturdy.

Yup! I ended up being the only tech in the shop to recover all of the track driven units we had as everybody was too scared to load onto the old Fruehaft trailer we had. Now we have a tilt deck Trailking and everybody is an expert talking about how easy it is to get on the trailer.
I worked for a while for a guy that loaded new cars onto the train cars at an assembly plant.
It turns out the have little connecting ramps from train car to train car.
You drive into built in "ruts" at the back end of the train and just floor it.
Hands off the wheel the ruts will keep you aligned.
Springs go full lock up and down.
Most guys just count the train cars they have gone through and let off two before they need to stop.
But, of course, some like to push it a bit.
A 50 train car "stack" can produce quite a ride.
