Take a 6 inch flex head and remove the ratcheting mechanism. Take 3/8thumbwheel ratchet and remove ratcheting mechanism. Swap 3/8 with the 1/4 and bam, you got a compact 3/8 6 inch slim flex head ratchet.

It is a pretty common thing to do here on GJ. Look at some past threads and you will see where members have done it with other brands like Snap On and Blackhawk etc.

That's ok, I didn't know about this trick. I love things like this, and I love when tool designers have continuity between their products.

SK tools can hang with the big boys and if Sk ever gets their tool trucks on the road you can say goodby to mac and some other truck brands.

At least they can say their tools are made in usa. They need to increase inventory yes but they could allow their franchisees the ability to sell gear wrench and ez red like mac and snap on do. Sk list price for a wrench set is half of what snap on sells it for.

Most of my hand tools are of the SK brand. They are over 20-years old and used everyday in the aviation field. A few ratchet rebuilds and that's all the.issues I have.had. They are outstanding tools and rarely get much attention from the masses.

I also use some Cornwell, which I also like.

I would take SK over craftsman any day. Does that say a lot? Before you get all mad at me, I own SK tools. I just don't own any that I like more than my other truck brands.

I am looking forward to the new ratcheting wrenches, once they figure out how to reverse them or add a flex head to them.
