Go get it. It looks like a 12" saw. I think it may be a Craftsman badged Walker Turner. Probably made in the 30's.

Is it worth the $150 he's asking?

Here's the ad text:

Very old band saw believed to be from the 1930's by matching look of models for that time. This piece was rescued from a barn and found with a 1940's era scroll saw which is also posted on craigslist at this time. This saw had someone attempt a restoration and the model tag and craftsman logo removed unfortunately. If attention is payed to the picture one can see the original craftsman dark blue underneath the light blue. Also the door is not properly aligned and motor found on the saw was trash. Also there is a small crack in the casing of the top door but despite all of this it would need little work to get saw running again. As mentioned before I rescued this piece in order for it to be restored and if purchased and restored this would be a lifetime piece of antique equipment. If there are any questions or would like to look the equipment over email me at the given address from craigslist. The price is negotiable on this piece and would be willing to deliver for a small price also please check the other scroll saw post that I also have.

I believe they call that a Craftsman "snow flake" band saw over on the OWWM website. Very desirable for some due to it's rare "snow flake" wheel covers.

Yes, the snowflake covers are very attractive and much prized.

Unfortunately, this one is a very light duty saw. I had the Walker-Turner version of it. I found it had small diameter sleeve bearings in the wheels and other lack of beef which made it more a conversation piece than a working saw.

There are some big, industrial snowflake bandsaws.
