Saw this one on the local CL. Left a voicemail but haven't heard back.

What do you guys make of this? Great winter project or just something to hang a bird feeder off of?

The description is "No24. canedy-otto. mfg co. "

Eh, the large ones with power down feed and multiple reductions are still useful at times, but the smaller ones are pretty outdated by the plethora of more modern bench top units out there. IMHO

pretty cool, if it is in good working order. I'd like to get one for wood only, and continue using my Homecraft for metal only.

I went and looked at it. It had a lot of chuck wobble. I mean A LOT of chuck wobble.

I just don't have room for a machine that I can't use, so I took a pass on it. If someone went to the trouble of rebuilding it, I think they could have a pretty cool machine. Just looked like more trouble than it was worth to me, but hopefully someone will buy it and give it some TLC.

Phil

BTW...I thought the majority of the wobble was in the chuck itself. No idea if that thing accepts a standard MT chuck...but if it does...might not even be that hard of a fix. If it doesn't...well then that's a WHOLE different kettle of fish.
