My buddy has a cool old drill press that I am sure would fit your bill but I am afraid we are a little too far to travel. It is in Pennsyltucky.

Yeah i thought about that first one i might email him. I have a specific picture in my mind and i`m not in a hurry. I like the top pulley cover on that one but i`d like one with a cover that extends all the way back to the back cover.
A mate of mine has an old Rockwell with a cover like that.

How far are you willing to go?? I have 2 - 1944 Delta drill presses. I will sell one. I have two newer models as well. I use the old models before I go to the new ones. You just can not beat the old iron!!

ahhh, I hate ta tease ya but I was in a shop last month that has an awesome old drill press! The guy says the shop has been in his family for about 100 years and the dp has been there the entire time. It's run by big belts. He still uses it every day, It was awesome! When I go there again I'll take a picture of it.
