I was surfing CL looking at tools and came across this rotary cabinet.

Interesting conversation piece, but a lot of wasted space. Lot less capacity than the same size cabinet with conventional pull out drawers.

+1 on the wasted space. I had a corner cabinet in one house with a turn table like that and it was a massive waste of space, not to mention a nightmare if something fell off into the back corners.

Military industrial rotary cabinet - $100 (Manteca)

Selling a very unique vintage rotary file cabinet. It is about 39 inches wide, 27 inches deep and about 72 inches tall. It is a very unique rotary design for use in confined spaces.

If it had a heating element it would be great for storing pizzas at a party. They wouldn't fall off the open end and you could see the different toppings at a glance.
And then there's the coolness factor but otherwise I agree, very inefficient storage.

Nice engineering but I could open my Vidmar drawers twice as fast, good bit of wasted space.
