Cool Seal connectors??

Anybody use or have experience with these? Ran into a fire engine mechanic who is giddy-in-love with them. What I'm struggling with is the chemistry. How does the simple act of crimping the metal connector "activate" the sealant to then cure within 3 hours??

I just googled them. My guess is it's a two part epoxy of some sort that when you crimp it the two parts mix and then harden.

I figure something like that, or friction-activated by been crushed.

I prefer good old uninsulated connectors and glue-filled heatshrink tube. But I could imagine times where those could be handy, like heat-sensitive areas, or when you don't have enough room to get the tube out of the way to crimp.
