Found this shop fan online and thought it would be cool for the garage, that was until I saw the price.......$3250.

That thing looks like a awesome combo super radiator/mini turbo prop all built into one. Albeit with a very weak looking input shaft.

Turn it upside down mount it to a umbrella and bingo!!! You just turned Mary Poppins into one BAD MoFo Mach-3 flying Nanny!

I'm assuming this is for industrial applications, but is it just for ceiling mount or special purpose?

Looks incredibly heavy for that wimpy shaft.

looks like you could make one from a Hunter Fan, some recessed lighting, a little diamond tread, some angel iron and a welder - gas, tig, mig or electric -----seems like a good high school shop project for the fall.......

Actually looks like any welder/electrician could make it themselves for about 1/10th cost. For those of you thinking of building it yourself, please make me one!
