I was in a shop that had 3 guys with that box. The big complaint was that the back compartment is not accessible when its against the wall.

Personally I don't like it because of real estate it needs for access. I'm more in the triple bay with the top box camp. Not a fan of hutches either!

Yeah, it’s not intended to be up against a wall.

Perfect for industrial maintenance or airplane hangar work where you roll the box to the job and have access to all sides.

Yes I did a lot of research on the taco box. It’s an aircraft mechanic box made to roll around the shop I was looking to purchase one that was in a little bit better shape but the guy wanted $1600 which was too much for me. $450.00 is a good price. There’s a box dates late 70s early 80s. It predominately has friction slides while some of the lower bigger drawers have ball bearing slides. One thing to note is that the drawers have built-in dividers if that makes a difference. Good luck.

I've never paid more than $500, and I have had 5. Depends on time and place, I'd say.

it's more location, location, location.....

ive seen rusted, beat up and broken SO boxes listed around here for wayyyyyy too much money. most of them belong in a scrap pile.

everything on my local CL is listed for more than new price.

i'll pass..

Bought one in the 70's had a wilton vise on it.
Great box served my purposes did gearboxes on it, used to hold up end of car when lift failed. When we cleaned the floor we always put a formula car on it so they both rolled easy.
Between the vise and the workspace on top I repaired many items, so it is a belief of mine that the box contributed to my income.

It has become my fabrication box keep many of my fabrication hand tools in it, the only issue I have is it is the original tool box color and my other 5 boxes are black.

Around here, taco carts are the only exception to the "If it says Snap-on, it must be worth it's weight in gold!" nonsense.

Whenever they pop up, they've been sub-$1000, usually well under, and it seems the owners can't pay people to take them.

If they didn't have that cabinet on the back, allowing the wider drawers to be full depth, they might be interesting, but, as they are? Bleh.

There was one listed locally that is now marked as sold.
They wanted $450 and it was a bit on the rough side.
Don’t know what it sold for but the seller was one of those...price is firm and I won’t take a penny less....listing people

I would have been in at about $250 on it.
I have had 2 before that I sold
