I got my 42 5000k lights wired and after reading that you can't tell the difference between 4100K and 5000K I decided to replace ONE of my 5000K bulbs with a 4100K bulb. Can you see it in this pic?

In a flooded lighting environment like that, it's harder to see. However in automotive with HID lighting with beamed lighting (projector), it's a subtle difference when shined at a wall. In automotive, 5000K bulb is a replacement to matched the aged 4100K light bulb. HID Xenon 4100K will change its color to cooler color, like 5000K.

I don't think anybody said that you couldn't pick them out side by side like that. Replace the all of the bulbs and you would not notice the brown light.

Imagine what a 2700k regular soft white would look like in that photo.
