it is a cheap looking hacked together piece of equipment. not much to look at but I think my eastwood powdercoating kit has got to earn a spot as one of the coolest tools on the planet. now I know there are lots of cool tools out there. but I mean I take these ugly rusted taillight buckets. spend a little time with the bead blaster and then chrome powdercoat them and they look better than new. it is such a hokey funky looking tool but it works so well. I just love the thing.

so what are some of your very favorite oddball tools.

Oxy acetylene torch because it loosens up seized components, cuts stuff off, and you can weld with it. I think it's really neat to loosen stuff up with it, maybe because the caveman in me says "I fix with fire!"

I LOVE my Eastwood powder coat gun. I had the hotcoat gun and upgraded to the pro gun to do bigger parts and highly recommend it if you like the hotcoat gun.

Everything Ive ever purchased from Eastwood has been top notch tools. I love my buff motor, welder, powder coat powders, body hammers, hog ring pliers, door skin pliers, spot weld cutter, etc...

Eastwood co is fantastic!

I know my answer is pretty generic, but I seriously could NOT survive without my metric Gearwrenches. Whoever thought up that design should definitely get 72 pieces of **** when they die.

A close second for me would be a door panel tool. I use this thing for just about everything except door panels. LOL

One of my favorite cool tools that makes life so much easier is my Mac Spinflex ratchet. Whoever came up with these things was a freakin' genius.

I kinda have to agree with gibbon_guy, making something glow is gratifying! But not the coolest, my larger gear wrenches make me happy, those spots that aren't large enough for a socket can ****. Turn the wrench, flip it over, turn the wrench, flip it over - Ha HA! Not anymore!

This one below. Mine has 6 hours on it just this week picking up twigs and pine cones from two properties I own and keep up. We had windy storms come through. Best damn tool other than a fork lift ever invented to save your back. When my 5 yr old grandaughter comes to visit, it's the first thing she wants to play with to pick up cones.

I love my Eastwood Hot Coat gun too! Woot! Can you tell me which chrome powder you're having luck with? I'm also curious if you topcoat it. I "chromed" some things with powder last year but without a top coat, they've turned gray about a year later.

the coolest tool flat out is a lever
one person could apply an astounding amount of force
with the simple lever, many tools are based on the basic lever
