Need suggestions for a quality pressure tester set, see all kinds of brands on Amazon and so on but don't know what is what as far as quality, usefulness, etc.

What's a good set, I want the stuff to test everything from cars/pickup trucks to heavy duty trucks and heavy equipment...what is the GJ recommendation for quality but not tool truck prices? I don't mind buying a couple different kits to cover the range.

Stant is really good. We've got two at work. They're not expensive, but keeping up with adapters (they're prone to new designs) definitely is. If you really want to have them all, you'll need to spend some money.

I have an older stant kit, I really like it. Recently had to replace the leather seal and check valve in it, cost about 6 bucks. The kit was really reasonable, but as jmm said, most adaptors I've bought have been between 20 and 50 dollars each.

I've got a Snap On. It's a rebadged Stant.
The adapters for the Stant are expensive, but there's no plastic in them, and they're pretty much indestructible. The same cannot be said about the imports.

I had a bladder style and after a few years the bladder gave out and it was pretty expensive to replace. Don't remember the exact price but it wasn't worth it to me so I went with the stant setup and have been buying adapters as needed for different vehicles I need to test. It's expensive at an average of 35-40 bucks for each adapter but they will last for ever. Might have to replace a seal for a buck but that is better then the price of a replacement bladder.
